About me
Dr. Teresa Connolly is an Associate Professor of Teaching at the University of Colorado College of Nursing on the Anschutz Medical Campus. She has been a nurse for over 20 years, a professor for 13 years, and has worked with open educational resources (OER) for more than 7 years. Her current focus is on eliminating textbook costs in nursing education. She has received annual funding from the Colorado Department of Higher Education to develop a zero-textbook-cost undergraduate nursing program. Dr. Connolly has published several articles on OER in nursing and has presented extensively at local and national venues. She has served on her campus OER Committee, the University of Colorado System OER Committee, and currently serves on the Colorado OER Council’s Reporting and Advocacy Committee. Her contributions to open education earned her the CU System OER Champion Award in 2024 and the 2025 Governor’s Award for Outstanding Workforce Zero-Textbook Degree. She is now expanding collaboration with other institutions to advance innovative and sustainable OER practices in nursing education in Colorado.
