Taru Tallgren is a Senior Lecturer in the Business Management Department at Laurea University of Applied Sciences. Her research focuses on working‑life‑connected and coaching‑based pedagogy, as well as pedagogical innovations that support flexible open learning models and equitable access to higher education. She has contributed to the development of open higher education pathways, including models such as open path studies, which offer alternative entry routes for learners transitioning from upper secondary education into university degree programs.Tallgren currently serves as the Business Management programme coordinator in the curriculum reform process at her university, where she contributes to renewing degree structures and pedagogical frameworks to ensure that students’ competencies align with the future requirements of an increasingly digitalised and technology‑driven working life. Through an Erasmus partnership with Mount St. Joseph University in the United States, she co‑develops project‑based learning pedagogy and joint initiatives that advance AI‑related innovation in higher education.
