About me
Dr. Jasmine Roberts-Crews is an educator, speaker, writer, and scholar advocate.She earned her bachelor's degree in communication studies and Spanish at the University of Michigan, her master's degree in communication at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and doctorate degree in higher education and student affairs at The Ohio State University. Dr. Roberts-Crews is a renowned open education leader. She advocates for education that is accessible, affordable, equitable, and inclusive to everyone regardless of their background and frequently gives keynote addresses on this topic. She is currently a qualitative research consultant for the Open Education Research Fellowship and advisor to the RIOS Institute. Dr. Roberts-Crews has also delivered a TEDx talk titled “I’m tired of talking about race” and is the author of “Writing for Strategic Communication Industries” and “Black Feminist Pedagogical Origins of Open Education.” In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her wife, Sydnee and her pups, Diamond and Huxley.
