About me
Nakia is an Associate Professor in philosophy at Northwest Vista College, where he has taught ethics and other philosophy courses for over seven years. He's been involved in faculty development, curriculum design, assessment, and other administrative pursuits at a variety of institutions throughout his career, but his heart has always been in the philosophy classroom. He earned his Ph.D. in Social Foundations of Education from the University of Virginia, his M.A. in Philosophy from Texas A&M University, and his B.A. in philosophy from Furman University. When not teaching or doing philosophy, he hangs out with his family, plays Dungeons and Dragons, and agonizes over the Boston Red Sox.
