aura Malia Dunn, Ph.D. is a scholar of Pacific-Asian religions, contemplative practice, and educational equity. She is the Co-Director of the Open for Antiracism Program (OFAR), a statewide professional development initiative for California Community Colleges, and faculty at the University of Hawaiʻi Mānoa. Laura’s teaching and research span Hindu traditions, Pacific-Asian cultures in diaspora, and the global circulation of yoga. She has developed curriculum and taught courses across multiple institutions, including the Graduate Theological Union, Santa Clara University, Naropa University, and the University of Hawaiʻi. Laura’s publications appear in Journal of Dharma Studies, Asian Ethnology, and Parabola, among others, and she is co-editor of the forthcoming volume Movement, Mindfulness, and Cultural Revitalization: Indigenous Contemplative Theories and Practices (Springer, 2026).
