About me
Dr. Judith Pete is a Senior Lecturer, Global Researcher and Africa Director for Service Learning at Higher Education institutions in Africa for over a decade. Worked in Regional Non-Governmental Organizations in different managerial and leadership capacities. She is currently the Regional Coordinator for Africa for Uniservitate Service Learning Global Network, where she champions community engaged learning. She has a rich experience in international projects on Open Education Resources, leading initiatives across African universities integrating open pedagogy, social justice and experiential learning. Her work focuses advancing inclusive, equity, context-responsive education systems that position communities as co-creators of knowledge for holistic transformation. She holds a PhD in Management Science and Educational Technologies at The Open University in Netherlands, Master of Business Administration with Financial Management option and bachelors in Sustainability. She was awarded the Research of the Year 2021/2022 at her university & has contributed to several peer-reviewed academic journals. She recently published with Springers on Diversity and Inclusion Research; Perception of Youth on the Role of Basic Education in Breaking Generational Poverty in “Women’s Contribution to Higher Education and Social Transformation, Implications for Policy and Praxis from Kenya”.
