About me
Professor Yung-Chia Chang is a faculty member in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University and a key contributor to the HERO Center’s work on open higher education resources. She received her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Industrial Engineering and Management from National Chiao Tung University, and later earned her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University in the United States. Her main research interests include supply chain management, production and operations management, scheduling, decision analysis, total quality management, and data mining applications. Drawing on this background, Professor Chang supports the HERO Center by applying data-driven methods to the design, management, and quality assurance of large-scale online learning platforms and open courses. She has also shared insights on online learning behavior, learning effectiveness, and platform data analysis in various public talks and media, helping universities and learners better understand how to make effective use of MOOCs and other digital resources.
