About me
Gracie McDonough serves as an Instruction and Reference Librarian at the College of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas. Since joining CSN, she has been a dedicated advocate for Open Educational Resources (OER), contributing to a significant increase in institutional OER adoption from less than 3% to over 22% in recent years. Ms. McDonough is a member of the 2025-2026 MOLLI program and holds the distinction of being Nevada's sole representative leading The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for Open Education Fellowship. Her professional credentials include certifications in Creative Commons, Open Education Librarianship, Open Educational Pedagogical Practices, and Quality Matters - APPQMR.Ms. McDonough earned her Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from Emporia State University and subsequently established an MLIS cohort program with ESU in Las Vegas to enhance accessibility to library and information science education for local community members. She also holds a Master of Arts in Urban Leadership from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she received the 2022 Community Impact Award from the School of Public Policy and Leadership in recognition of her work with at-risk youth and the juvenile justice system.
