About me
Ginelle Baskin is the Open Education Librarian at Middle Tennessee State University, where she leads campus initiatives to advance textbook affordability and the adoption of open educational resources (OER). She works closely with faculty, departments, and campus partners to support the development and implementation of Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) courses, helping reduce financial barriers for students. Ginelle launched MTSU’s “Textbook Hero Awards” to recognize faculty leadership in open education and recently helped the university surpass $3 million in student savings through ZTC initiatives. Her work also explores open pedagogy and student engagement in knowledge creation.
