Doina Naude is an academic professional and clinical pharmacy expert based in South Africa. With over two decades of experience spanning clinical practice, pharmaceutical industry, and higher education, she brings a unique blend of practical expertise, intercultural perspective, and academic excellence to her role as a lecturer at Mandela University.Doina earned her Clinical Pharmacist and Bachelor of Pharmacy qualifications Cum Laude from the UMF Carol Davila in Bucharest, Romania. Since 2016, she has served as a Lecturer in the Pharmacy Department at Mandela University, where she coordinates clinical modules and has pioneered innovative learning and teaching approaches, including game-based learning methodologies. In 2025, she was awarded the runner-up Excellent Teacher Award in the Faculty of Health Science at Mandela University. Her pharmaceutical industry experience includes strategic roles in External Affairs and Regulatory Affairs, while her clinical expertise is rooted in hands-on pharmacy practice across retail and hospital settings in both Romania and South Africa.Today, she combines her extensive industry knowledge with academic excellence, fostering the next generation of pharmacists through innovative, humanizing pedagogical approaches. She remains committed to finding solutions in overcoming social injustice and to bridging the gap between academic theory and practical application in pharmaceutical education.
