About me
Amber Hoye is Director of Programs at The Rebus Foundation, where she designs and leads professional development opportunities and consulting support for educators. She brings over 14 years of leadership experience to her work in open education. Her work is dedicated to making learning more affordable, amplifying student voices, and designing experiential learning opportunities that provide access to education for all. At Rebus, Amber develops courses, webinar series, workshops, and communities of practice tailored to the evolving needs of educators. Previously, she supported the creation of more than 15 open textbooks, including Français inclusif, a 2023 Open Education Award finalist, and nearly 1,000 ancillary resources through The Pathways Project. Her work extends into scholarship as well, having authored and co-authored peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and presented at conferences including OE Global, the Open Education Conference, and OER25. She was named a 2024 Open Education Catalyst Award Finalist.
