About me
Amanda Grey, MLIS, is the Open Education Strategist at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) in British Columbia, Canada. Over the past several years, she has worked across the full spectrum of open education practice, supporting educators in textbook affordability, OER adoption and creation, open pedagogy, and open scholarship. Amanda brings a practitioner's perspective to open education development, with a particular interest in how educators new to the field can find meaningful and sustainable entry points into open practice. Her recent work includes the Open Education Workbook, a self-directed reflective resource for educators, and the AI Declaration Framework for OER Creation, a structured approach to transparent AI disclosure in open educational resources. Amanda is an active participant in the broader open education community, regularly engaging in local and international conversations, forums, and events to both contribute to and learn from open education practice worldwide.
